The “langue d'ocha”, a traditional French pastry, has been created into a matcha green tea confectionery unique to Kyoto's teahouses. Please enjoy the crispy and pleasant texture. Ito Kuemon was founded in the late Edo period (Tempo 3) by Ito Tsuneemon Takizo I, who was involved in the tea business in Tahara-mura Namura (present-day Uji-Tawara Minami). Since then, tea production has been passed down from generation to generation. Matcha ground by machine or mill has simple round particles and does not have the same fragrant aroma as matcha ground by millstone. For our matcha sweets, we lavishly use carefully selected high-quality tea leaves from Uji, which are stone-ground using the best manufacturing method and as fresh as possible.
