Easy way for anyone to add markers
Here's a quick and easy way to add new markers to your "Signposts of the Greats" map.This makes it easy for anyone to add new information to the map.

Open map from shared link
- Open the map using the shared link.The link is set to be editable by everyone who knows about it.

Layer Selection
- From the layer list on the left, select the layer you wish to add (e.g., "Kobo Daishi," "Taira no Masamon," or "Ninomiya Kinjiro").

Adding a marker
- Select "Add Marker" in the upper left corner and click on the location you wish to add on the map.
- Set the marker's title, description, and custom icon.(Press the paint icon to select "Kobo Daishi," "Taira no Masamon," and "Ninomiya Kinjiro" icons, respectively.)
- Click "Save" to add the marker.

Show new markers
- Confirm that the added marker appears on the map.
Notes on using the site from a mobile phone
Currently, the function to add new markers to the “Great Peopla Road Map” is only available when accessing from a computer. Since markers cannot be added from smartphones or tablets, we ask that you follow the instructions below when providing new marker information. Access Google Forms
- Open the Google Form using the shared link.

Enter required information
- Enter the name, address, and (if available) description of the new marker.

Submit Google Form
- Submit the form. Information is automatically recorded in a spreadsheet.

Admin adds marker
- The administrator will review the information in the spreadsheet and add the new marker to Google My Maps.

Introduction of Greats
- Kobo-Daishi (Kukai): Founder of the Shingon sect of Buddhism in Japan, he contributed greatly to the development of culture, learning, and the arts.
- Taira no Masakado: A military commander of the Heian period, he was a hero who continued to fight for the people.
- Kinjiro Ninomiya: An agriculturalist and educator of the Edo period, he is a symbol of diligence and hard work.
